here we go again

Remember back in August when we bought the cutest, tiniest trailer ever?  Well just a few weeks after we got her completely disassembled and ready for renovation, we adopted Birdy.  After rehashing the footprint of the trailer several times we finally had to come to terms with the fact that we really would not all fit in it.

Then, last month John was out helping some elderly friends of ours and he spotted an Air Stream in the backyard.  They told him that they really needed to sell it.  And since we are nothing if not helpful (and after a major price reduction that made it impossible to pass up), we bought her!

Look how much space there is!  This is looking to the left from the front door.

And to the right.  There is the first couch that pulls out to a full sized bed.  There is a little table that pops up on the left there.

Even with the bed set up there is still space for an air mattress on the floor and a pack and play!

There is a full kitchen (the refrigerator is on the opposite wall) with a four burner stove and oven!

Beyond the kitchen is the bedroom and the bathroom. The bathroom is in some need of major work, so we won't be using it any time soon.

The rear couch pulls out into a full size bed as well.

We cannot get over the fact that we own an Air Stream!  It is sitting in the drive way, and we like to go and hang out in her from time to time, dreaming of our first adventure.

We still aren't sure what we are going to do with Lil' Bit.  I'm trying to convince John that she would work very well as a crafting studio in the backyard.  Or maybe we could rent her out for photo shoots and for people who want to camp in style.  We'll see.  Until then, we have some minor renovations to do on the Land Yacht, but overall she is ready to roll!

That's so fun! Congrats! My grandparents had an RV when I was growing up and I always thought it was the coolest thing… like a playhouse for grown ups. My favorite part was the bunk bed above the driver's area.
