into marvelous light

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was in the beginning with God.  All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.  In him was life, and the life was the light of men.  The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

John 1:1-5

We are running headlong into Christmas.  The day when we celebrate the Marvelous Light coming into this world of darkness.  And oh, hasn't the world seemed so very dark lately?  I hold fast to the promise that the darkness in the hearts of man cannot overcome the light.

On this first day of winter, this darkest and shortest day of all, we remember darkness.  But we celebrate that The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.  With the morning comes the light and the abundance of his mercies!

I wish each of you my friends, the Light, the Life and the Love of Christ this Christmas.
