so long old friend
We sold our house this week! Walking the rooms one final time was bittersweet. The kids peeked around corners remembering their special moments in the house. They climbed the tree house one last time, went for a ride on the skateboard swing and walked the balance beam. This house was good to us. We loved every inch of it as best we could, and we are happy to be passing it onto a sweet woman that is as excited about it as we first were.
So long sun streaked wooden floors.
So long teal doors.
So long purple porch.
So long hot kitchen.
So long baby days, learning to crawl and walk...oh great. Now I'm getting emotional!

Congratulations! That's very exciting. I'm sure it's bittersweet. Any time I think of leaving this house one hundred memories already flood my mind. I can only imagine all the memories you all made there. God is good.
Oh, what mixed feelings you must have... It's good, I have no doubt, to move on, but sad, I know.
Mandi, I had no idea! I've got to catch up on my reading. Best of luck on your new adventure!

It is difficult to leave a house with all its memories, but what a blessing to sell (especially in the current market) and have that 'weight' lifted from your shoulders. Hope you settle into your new house and can make it a home soon.
