some inspiration

I've been feeling a bit uninspired lately.  When the kids are ready for mommy time (in between all of the wonderful, sunny outside time), all I can come up with is reading.  Or board games.  Or tickle time.  Which is fine.  But I'm ready for a little more excitement around here!

Here are three activities that we will be trying out soon:

geode eggs!
My kids love rocks- I know they are going to flip over these!

lava lamps (first seen on Flower Patch Farmgirl)

homemade silly putty (first seen on Progressive Pioneer)
I've done lost my mind!

And while some of these were supposed to be more "eastery", we'll just change them up a bit to make them more every day fare!

What have you seen lately that has brought on some inspiration?

I made a double batch of that homemade silly puddy last week (our old one was a year old and the color was boring them). We call it "goo" around here. It has kept my kids so busy, it is amazing! It does stick to the tile in the kitchen and I am having to scrape it up, but it has been well worth it.

Oh, man.

All the mommy time we ever do (that is separate from outside time like feeding the animals, bike riding, general strolling aimlessly), is reading. I'm a bit boring.

You inspired me to do still life drawings with them, on one of your posts, and I do that a lot.

Laith likes to memorize poetry, which I love, of course. I mean, I really love it.

Yay to homemade silly putty! I say enjoy the sun! There is always time for crafting and such when in rains. Happy weekend.

I posted a whole list of inspiration a few days ago, but kid specific? Hmmm....And sometimes, it is just the mood...there are loads of great ideas out there, I just don't have the mojo to tackle them. Tickle times sounds more fun than what's been happening around here. Thanks for the reminder to let loose and behave like a kid.
