we purchased this version of pippi longstocking for moonpie for her birthday, and all i can say is, pippi + lauren child = MAGIC!
if you are a fan of the red haired, striped sock, inhumanly strong, cleverest of them all, little girl- you must buy this version of the book! the illustrations are sensational! (i haven't even used that word in like 5 years, so you better believe that i mean it!)

Wow, I forgot all about Pippi!
At school I read this with the 2nd graders and then we have a Pippi Party. I made a list of all the things they eat in the book & we have them all...a very strange buffet. The kids get to dress up like a character from the book...very fun! Enjoy reading!!
I just finished reading this to my 7 year old and she loved it. But so did her 8 and 10 year old big brothers!!! Aren't the illustrations in this edition cool?
